Turkish Airlines Hosts World Golf Cup in Istanbul

Turkish Airlines, renowned for flying to more countries and international destinations than any other airline recently hosted the illustrious Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup Amateur Series.

The event took place at the Istanbul Kemer Golf and Country Club, the home base of Turkish Airlines, between September 23 and 24.

The event saw a significant turnout, with attendees including members of corporate and loyalty programs, and eminent figures from the business community. Since its inception in 2013, the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup has been a global event, attracting thousands of golf amateurs and being held in numerous destinations worldwide. This year, it continues to unite over 7,000 players, who will compete in more than 80 tournaments globally.

The champions of this year’s series, supported by Gloria Hotels & Ruck & Maul, will earn a spot in the Grand Finals in Antalya in December, traveling in Business Class with Turkish Airlines. Arda Obuz, representing Istanbul in the men’s category, secured his champion position with 44 points, followed by Hakkı Akil and Kei Sugimoto. In the ladies’ category, Berna Karaevli will represent Istanbul after securing a win with 40 points, with Joelle Benjenk and Merve Müftüoğlu following.

Ahmet Olmuştur, Turkish Airlines Chief Marketing Officer, expressed his gratitude to all the guests who contributed to the success of the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup in Istanbul. “What a great tournament it was to watch. Congratulations to our winners of this stage of the TAWGC series, Berna Karaevli and Arda Obuz. We wish them the best of luck in Antalya,”he said.
