Ankara stood out with 24 companies in the list of the fastest-growing top 100 companies of Turkey

Ankara made its mark with 24 companies in the list of 100 fastest-growing companies in Turkey announced by The Union of Chamber and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).

According to the statement made by the Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO), at the TOBB Turkey 100 Awards Ceremony organized with the contributions of Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV), TOBB University of Economics and Technology (ETU), and TOBB, while the fastest-growing top 100 companies were determined according to the sales revenue growth rate of Turkey in the 2016-2018 period, the companies from Ankara that were included in the list attracted attention with their performance.

The Ankara-based construction company GINTEK Construction Industry Tourism and Trading Co. became the fastest-growing company in Turkey with a growth rate of 4357.5%.

ATO President Gursel Baran, whose evaluations were included in the statement, pointed out that the average growth rate of the fastest-growing companies of Turkey in the 2016-2018 period was 511%, and stated that the employment of companies increased by 86% during this period and each company provided employment opportunities to 111 people on average.

Stating that 63% of these companies export to 67 different countries, Baran said, “Our entrepreneurs who know, understand and adapt to the world are the most valuable compass of the capital of Turkey on the way to becoming a world brand.”

Stating that Ankara is at the top of the list with 24 companies among the top 100, Baran said:

“The fact that 24 out of 100 companies operating in Ankara is proof of the capital’s correct investment and work. We saw that the companies we envied in Silicon Valley could also exist in the capital, and we have also confirmed the rise of Ankara with these numbers. I congratulate our companies who broke grounds despite all the challenging conditions, proudly and wholeheartedly.”

ATO President Baran stated that the average age of the top 100 companies is approximately 13, which is an indication of the success of young entrepreneurship in Turkey.

Emphasizing that the awards will make a great contribution to the companies becoming more visible in the national and international market, Baran added saying “We are delighted to see that our entrepreneurs in Turkey have clawed their way to the top, where they deserve to be. We have full confidence in the Turkish private sector that they will boost our country in the world economy. “

Baran also congratulated Tiga Information Technologies, the IT company of ATO Board Member Adem Ali Yilmaz, which ranked 66th with 253% growth in TOBB Turkey 100 Awards.

1- Gintek Construction Industry Tourism and Trading Co. – 4357.5% growth

3- Profen Defense and Security Technologies Industry and Trade Inc. – 2494.9% growth

6- Tis Technological Isolator Systems Industry and Trade Inc. – 1645.9% growth

10- Dinamik Rontgen Industry and Trade Co. Ltd. – 1119.3% growth
