A cooperation protocol on the integration of Green Card systems was signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan. With Azerbaijan’s inclusion in the Green Card System, digital controls on the borders of the two countries will be ensured and fraudulent card fraud will be prevented.
The online Green Card integration between the two countries will be provided with the protocol signed in Baku between the Azerbaijan Forced Insurance Bureau and the Turkish Motor Vehicle Bureau. Drivers going abroad need a traffic policy. 1,115 transporters affiliated to the International Transporters Association use Green Card insurance for road exports. Rashad Ahmedov, Director of the Azerbaijan Forced Insurance Bureau, said, “With the cooperation, which is a first in the Council of Bureaus, road transport between the two countries will achieve a safe structure. We attach great importance to this cooperation with our sister country Turkey. We came together to develop mutual cooperation.”
Ziya Aliyev, the Chief Director of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, said that it is very important that the cooperation with the brotherly country Turkey, as one nation, two states, is implemented rapidly in the insurance sector. President of the Insurance Association of Turkey Atilla Benli said: “We attach great importance to cooperation and mutual information sharing with our brother countries.”
