Oyak Renault, which has been producing in Turkey since 1971, took the 7 millionth car and engine off the line in November. It also produced the 6 millionth chassis and gearbox. Thus, it became the factory with the highest production in Turkey.
EXPORT TO 70 COUNTRIES
Oyak Renault Automobile Factories manufactures the New Clio, Clio E-Tech and the new Megane Sedan models, as well as the mechanical parts used in these models, including the engine and gearbox, and exports them to 70 countries. The factory, which started mass production of engines for hybrid vehicles in 2020, is the first in the Renault Group and the only factory in Turkey among the centers producing engines for hybrid vehicles.
Capacity increased from 20 thousand to 378 thousand units
OYAK Renault General Manager Dr. Antoine Aoun said, “In our journey that started with the Renault 12 production and extended to a total of 7 million vehicles and engines and 6 million chassis and gearboxes in 50 years, we have launched more than 20 models from our factory so far. Our production capacity, which was about 20 thousand when we started automobile production, has reached an annual volume of 378 thousand automobiles and 920,000 engines today.”
