Turkish Airlines carried 7.7 million passengers in June

According to the passenger and cargo traffic results in June, Turkish Airlines (THY) reached 83.5%load factor, and carried 7.7 million passengers.

In the statement made by the THY Press Advisory, the passenger and cargo traffic results for June were shared.

Accordingly, THY’s international passenger occupancy rate is 83.4%. It was stated that the domestic flight occupancy rate was 83.7%.

While the number of international-to-international transfer passengers was 2.1 million in the period of June 2022, it was reported that it increased by 11.4% in the same period of 2023 and reached 2.3 million.

While the total number of Seats Supplied (AKK) was 18.8 billion in the same period of 2022, it was recorded that it reached 20.5 billion with an increase of 9% in the same period of 2023.

It was reported that the volume of cargo and mail carried in the said month was 146.5 thousand tons in the same period of last year, while it decreased by 4.3% this year to 140.2 thousand tons.

38.7 million passengers carried in the first 6 months of the year

In addition, the following statements were included in the statement, which included the traffic results for January – June 2023:

“The number of passengers carried increased by 25% compared to the same period of 2022 and reached 38.7 million. While the number of international-to-international transfer passengers was 9.9 million in the January-June 2022 period, it increased by 41.4% to 14 million in the same period of 2023.

Total passenger load factor increased by 5.9 points in the January-June period compared to the same period of 2022 and became 81.5%. While the international load factor was 81.6%, the domestic load factor was 81%.

Total Seats Offered, which was 90.6 billion in 2022 in the January-June period, increased by 22% to 110.9 billion in 2023. While the total volume of cargo and mail carried in the January-June period was 819.3 thousand tons in 2022, it was recorded as 750.2 thousand tons in 2023 with a decrease of 8.4%.
